Francisca Beato is a senior technical research assistant with our lab. She has a background in biology and years of technical experience in medical research. For the past year, Francisca has been working with Dr. Hsiao as a coordinator for our Affymetrix, oligo nucleotide and microarray technology branch in overseeing/coordinating sample processing and communicating with our collaborators. Francisca has been responsible for the isolation of RNA from clinical and experimental samples and has been working on taking the probes and processing them then analyzing the chip expression profiles. Her work has been very important in maintaining the quality control for our probe samples and streamlining the process.
